As promised, I put together a bunch of photos of eggs at various stages of incubation and my evaluation of the color when candled.
These can be seen on my MHD FAQ page, not listed as a link yet, at www.froggieb.com/MHDFAQ.html.
I am sorry to hear of bad egg experiences but there does seem to be a bit of a learning curve. It would be so nice if you could look at and touch the incubation medium that someone else has had success with but it seems that for now pictures is all we have! So, go look at the pics, I think you'll find them interesting!
I also recall a post a little bit down that showed a new WC female that we all though was more than a little thin. I though you might all enjoy seeing a CB female who laid eggs in Sept and Nov. 2003. I really think that the CB has an edge over the WCs as she has never suffered the stress of the WC and therefore this is an almost unfair contrast to the thin female. But at any rate, this is a healthy, well rounded female. (just look at those thighs!)
And last but not least, we have also discussed the moss cap the female wears after laying a clutch. I had the opportunity to snap a pic of a fresh cap and though I'd share that as well!
Hope this isn't too much stuff in one post but I have to get in what I can when I can. With a retail business to run and often less than one day off a week I just don't get to escape into my photo/reptile stuff that often!
I really hope these pictures will do some of you some good.
