Black dot underneath chin area

gex53 Jan 17, 2004 09:49 PM

I just noticed a semi-big black dot underneath my patternless gecko's head. It is in about the same spot as the eyes except underneath in the chin area. I tried to take a picture but my gecko isnt cooperative. What is the dot? Its not on my other two.
Thanks for your help.

Judging from other posts on this forum, it could be K(C)rypto, an uncurable sporelike infection....

Take it to a vet to make sure and quarantine immediatly. I am new to leos, so I may be wrong, that is just what I read.

a fungal infection. Is his tank very damp? I'd have a vet check it out regardless.

No, his tank isnt damp at all. But i just got him four days ago from vmsherp. So if its anything, he's had it since before i got him. I really dont think its crypto.

Should be just black spots and it rarely happens. Can be known as Pardoax Patternless like an Pardox Albino.
