I have been to a couple vets and spoke with a few top breeders about the same problem. We have a current forum topic going about my problem at the link below. You will also find more help there then here.
Mouth Rot Topic Link
Kathy Love recommends using Listerine for MILD Mouth Rot in her book the Corn Snake Manual. This may be where this person got that info. It also recommends appying twice daily with cotton swabs a 50/50 Hydrogen Peroxide and water mix with just enough Betadine added so it resembles weak ice tea. Mouth rot can be a secondary infection caused by respitory infection and if it is serious a trip to the vet will be needed. Also, mouth rot can be caused by a snake pushing his head against things in the cage. I would look at your cage set up and re-evaluate your temps.
