Golden Tegu Diet...

Demon_Hunter Jan 17, 2004 11:30 PM

Hey there,

I went to Repticon today, and we bought a small, few months old Golden Tegu. What do they eat? I heard ground turkey, insects, and some fruits, maybe some dog food too. What do you think? Oh what about substrate? Thanks for any answers.

Insects are probably the best food for him while he's young and growing. Varity is good too so try the turkey maybe some cooked fish stuff like that. Remember to dust some of the food too. When you're looking up info for him the gold tegus are Columbians. Cypress mulch works well for substrate as long as it's at least a few inches deep. Congrats on your new pet!
