Has anyone here tried artificial ejaculation and insemination? I was talking to a zoo herp guy today who has been using this technique. Basically massaging the snake until it produces sperm, not electro ejaculation. They were doing this to test mechanisms to store frozen sperm - not for reproduction purposes.
Whats the deal with that? Would one have to palpate the females to know when to artificially inseminate? Whould there be any benefit with this technique for Indigos? He did say it was a delicate technique that can easily be over done, resulting in damaged male snakes. (No jokes please
