How much space do you provide for your ADULT spectacled caiman?

seal Jan 18, 2004 06:29 AM

I'm interested in the size of the enclosure you are using for adult spectacled caiman.
I know the theorie, the croc faq and so on, but I would like to get some first hand informations from keepers. Pictures of enclosures are greatly appreciated!

best wishes, Thomas

This is a bit of overkill, but I built a 16 x 24 foot compound which comprise 2 16 x 12 foot pens each with 10 foot pool. I built this addition to a green house in 1992. My caimens were adult then and I got tired of keeping them in the garage. It has drains and artesian overflow to provide keep them warm in the winter.

Best wishes,
