My tank is 3ft tall by 1.5ft by 1.5ft, its currently on 58W (1 36W and 2 11W tube) pls advice if that's sufficient and how I should calculate the amount of lighting I need to have for my other tank. Thanks

I dont know about the lighting but I wanted to say I found your tank set up fascinating. Great look I loved it.My mom has bamboo plants in our living room window.I didnt know they could grow partially submerged like that.
Ours are in a clay pot though the soil is kept constantly wet.

Thanks bianca, in my country (I'm from Asia) we keep the bamboo plants in water, but I know u can keep them in moist soil too, they're relatively easy plants... =)

How much of the bamboo plant can be submerged with out hurting the plant? I am going to try some in my terrarium. Which has great light.
Thanks.

Well u can actually submerged abt 1/4 or half of it... I've even successful tried submerging 3/4 of the bamboo plants in water...
