I might like a queen or crayfish snake but don't like their diet. Has anyone ever had them eat something other then crayfish? How?

I might like a queen or crayfish snake but don't like their diet. Has anyone ever had them eat something other then crayfish? How?
I had a gulf crayfish eat a minnow or two, but not enough to keep it for long. I released it after a while. It is unlikely you can keep them for long without some mudbugs lying around. If you can get crayfish (and can get the snake to eat them) you can induce the crayfish to molt by cutting off the eye stalks. Andy

I had a queen some time ago but winter was coming and couldn't get it to even consider anything but crayfish so I let it go again. The molting hint would really help but all in all I'm afraid they're not a good long-term captive.

Very true about not being good long term captives. Blisters are VERY easy to get on these guys due to their love of soaking. Same with muds. Even with extremely warm, acidic water it is not easy to keep the blisters off. Andy

I would think that babies may be easier to imprint than older snakes....Anyone try this??Jeff
