I thought you had a 5 month old leo??
anyways, whether you have one or not, I'd recommend reading as many care sheets as you can find then form your own ideas from those.
Some caresheets have completely stupid advice, others have great advice. The more you read, you'll be able to decide what is best for your leo and you
hope this helps

Do more research, i remember late nights reading caresheets about leopards. Read as much as you can, and try finding caresheets from reputable breeders/herpers. If something is unclear or you think is wrong info, ask away here in the forum. Look in the care sheets [http://www.kingsnake.com/features.html] section of kingsnake. Good Luck and Happy Herping, btw once you start with one, you will be surprised when you wake up to lets say 1,2,3,4,5,6,7, more leos, its hard to just stay at number 1.

I agree with what Fritz said. Read, read, and read some more. In my (and many other people's) opinion, the Leopard Gecko Manual is a great resource, and it doesn't cost much at all. You should be able to find it for under $10 online. Check some of the links here at KS or just go to Amazon.com. So, you don't have to go anywhere, they'll send it to you

Just out of curiosity, why did you say you don't have a gecko yet, but halfway down this Forum, you said you have a 5 month old?

Go to the leopard gecko page on our website and then click on the care sheet link. This is only the beginning of your learning process. If you don't want to buy the books get them from the library. If the library doesn't have them they can get them for you on inter-library loan.

Good luck,
John

Go to the Care and Links page on my site and you can download the Leopard Gecko CD for free. The 4 spotted jungle female on the first page is one of my jungle breeders : )

I agree that there is a lot of conflicting information in various care sheets, but keep in mind that most of it is valuable information from people who are documenting what works for them. Most of the breeders who post here and/or sponsor this forum that have websites, have care sheets. I would definately recommend getting "The Leopard Gecko Manual"... it is a wealth of knowledge for ALL of us.
