Cat Food?

skinkgirl Jan 18, 2004 04:02 PM

I have come across many caresheets online that say it is ok to feed your schneider's skink cat food. Is this true? OIf so what kind? I have cats. They eat IAMS original formula, is this ok for my skink to eat?

P.S.-
If I did feed him cat food this would not be all i would feed him. I also feed him crickets, lizard food pelets, and an assortment of fruits and veggies.

but if youve been bitten or looked in your skink's mouth youll notice that they've got tiny teeth, but they can get gum or teeth problems from some foods, particularly pellets or cat food.

my skinks had a hard time chewing cat foods and pellets. so just moisten them before you feed them, and after feeding, throw away the leftovers as they can be a great place for bacteria to grow

oh yeah and catfood or dog food, dry- low fat formula, or wet cat food- low fat.

good luck
