Looks like a very healthy snake. You must be taking very good care of him. Thanks for posting the picture.
Wow that is an awsome looking animal. Is it really that color or is it just the pic. If it is that color it is awsome.

Hi, my name is Don and I am a colubrid addict!
My posts are just my opinion or what works for me.
Thanks for letting me share.
Yes Don, that's the color.
I just bought this animal a couple weeks ago so it's still in quarantine for the moment, but as soon as it will be reasonably safe, I'll put it with one of my normal suboc and take a picture of the two animals together, you'll be able to see the color better. The flash altered it a bit, but it's still quite representative. I'm very happy with the snake. Thanks for the coment.

Awesome snake Jean. There are quite a few silver trans-pecos out there with the usual silver blotches but there are only a handful (that I have ever seen)of silver trans-pecos with the regular trans-pecos pattern such as the one you have pictured. I am always amazed when I see a picture of one patterned like yours. I have regular silver trans-pecos but have not been lucky enough to pick up a pair like yours yet. Once again, awesome snake. I'd like to say "wow" since I am partial to subocs. I have a pair of blondes right now, and have been unable to find any silvers available.

I love the Blond phase as well, actually, I like every phase of the Subocs. I saw a picture of a wild suboc, can't remember which forum, where the black markings were reddish brown, I believe it was from Brewster county... not sure. Anyway, it looked really nice. My two favorite snakes are the subocs and alternas, one of the main reason being that they are so variable in the wild.
cheers, Jean F Dery
