squib Jan 18, 2004 08:27 PM

I'd like to get a baby pyxie aprox golfball size and crickets won't be avaliable just hisser cock roaches of all sizes but besides hisser's can worms or minnows be feed to a babie pyxie?
And do pyxies need special lighting like vitalights or just normal heat lights?

Small hissers and nightcrawlers make a great staple. It helps if you feed other food items too so the frog can be assured the best diet possible. Mealworms, superworms, waxworms, and other inverts you can find (as long as no pesticides are used in the area) or commercially order (there are tons of retail websites that sell all sorts of inverts) make great additions to a diet for variety purposes.

Only heat lamps are required. Other lights are up to you but will allow for live plants to grow if you decide you want them.
