fat tail caging

mblons Jan 18, 2004 08:38 PM

I am getting a pair of juvenile fat tails 1.1 that I am going to keep separate for awhile. I have very limited space. Is there a cage that anyone is aware of that I can split in two yet still be able to heat both parts. Or, maybe something vertical. I was thinking of maybe a small plastic rack system with heat tape. Anyone know of a company that makes these. I would like size to be maybe 5-10 gallon or so. Thank you so much for your input.- Mark

There's a plastic cage called Lee's Reptile Ranch. It's 18x12x5 inches and comes with a plastic divider that you can add or remove and costs about nine dollars. Should be okay for 2 juv AFT's. Be careful when heating with overhead heat as the plastic can melt. Low watt heat tape or UTH should be okay though.

Why don't you just get 2 ten gallon aquaruiums?
In Canada they cost 10$ and a screen lid for 10$

East bay Vivarium has some glass cages that are already split in two for only like $50.
