I went to the reptile show today and saw that healthiest, ornate i have ever seen. She is definatly over 250 grams maybe 300, very active, alert, and has some red coloration. She is a young adult female. She is so colorful the origional owner thought it was a male but after a few months he relized it was a female so he returned her back to the breeder. As soon as i took her home she started eating in the quarantine cage. I dont have any pics, but for comparison, the female is larger than the ornate Robyn posted, and is about 50-75 grams more, and has a redish coloratoin on the head and body. She is fat, i am not sure if she is obese, but she moves around a lot so i dont think she is too fat. She is definatly breedable. The only thing i am concerned about is she has a bumb on both of her front claws. It is like a cushion. Could She be club footed, is club foot genetic, how do they get it. Her claws aren't deforned, she just has a slight bump under each of her front claws. I decided to name her Chubs, because the name is perfect for her.

I have 1.4 adult uros. 1.1 malis 0.2 moroccan 0.1 ornata.
What do you guys think about breeding different species of uros together? At the momment i am housing my moroccan females with my malis breeding pair. I know the malis and moroccans would be able to breed and lay fertile eggs, but would breeders get mad if i creat "mutts"? So far, my moroccans are getting along with the malis, the larger female has been with them for about a week with no problems, but i put the smaller more agressive female in today and watched them for hours on and off. All that happened is the male licked her about a hundred times, and she licked him back about 100 times. So far she didn't nip anyone, but the male is chasing all the females both malis and moroccans around the cage. I think he is still in breeding mode. My malis female is getting really fat now and i am almost posative she is gravid. I have 5 nesting areas, but i think she will lay her eggs where she laid her eggs last year in one of the nesting boxes, because she is now starting to sleep there more than usual.

One last thing, could i try to house my ornate female with them after a few month quarantine. She is a little shorter than the adult females, but she is stockier than them. She probably weighs the same as the largest female. I will weigh her tommarow.
