How long for BT's to tame down?

lysergic Jan 18, 2004 11:24 PM

I have a baby BT (about 12" long) and he is still a pretty untame guy, when I put my hand down in his cage to pick him up he still hisses at me, and depending on his mood will whip his tail at me. I was wondering how long should it be until he tames down? Should he already be tame? If I hold him for a few minute he is no longer hissing and whipping unless I startle him, but he still tries (not franticly) to get away. As for any other info on him, his diet is mostly gutloaded and supplemented crickets with occasional earthworms.

Thanks.
Matt

hello,
it depends on how long and how you handle them.... i can't tell how long will it take to tame down, but always remember, it depends on the individual lizard, some tamed fast others don't...
goodluck on them'
happy herping!
