affectionate red legged tree frog

JadeFox Jan 18, 2004 11:25 PM

I have my red legged tree frogs so spoiled they forgot how to hunt food on their own but will grab the cricket from me and stuff it down their mouth...in some cases will open their mouth and want me to put the food in there.

Now these frogs have gotten so excited when I talk to them they want to jump on my face...and in some instances WILL jump on my arm or face and REFUSE TO LET GO...ugghhhh..wet and slimy

not good for the frogs touching human skin!

over the years they just evolved this way

Does anybody else have this problem with their frogs jumping on their person and refusing to let go? (It takes considerable effort to get them to release me, by the way)

I dont keep red legs but from reading posts over 2 yrs here on them.I gathered they seem to be frogs with personality and everyone who has them seems to love them.
Not to mention they are great looking.

Yeah, my 2 RETFs and 2 GTF (froglets) are all the same way in the sense that they like jumping, and staying, on my arms. They're all CB and not frightened, and I'm almost positive it's just about the warmth. I just shoo them off or avoid letting them get near me in the first place.
