Exactly how much in demand are blue tongued skinks? Are they hard to come across?

I used to work at a petstore called petland. It has many locations, especially in Calgary, canada. There were no reptiles in my store, but I was the only person at my location who had the downlow on reptiles.

Blue tongues are popular, yes. The problem is, alot of people don't like to feed animals "icky" things like crickets. Plus their size is a problem for some, as is the heating lamps and such. Compared to some of the staggering sellers like dogs, hamsters and budgies, they are a small fraction. As far as herps go...they are in the range just below leopard geckos. They are a popular pet if someone has the space and intrest.

I've only seen one Blue tongue in all the petstores in calgary over the last 6 months, but they are abundant at reptiles shows.

I'm thinking about looking into a BTS and granted I haven't done hardly any research but usually I start at the links sponsoring the forum or even some breeders listed in posts but can't find any in here. I could be blind, though.

Seriously, can I please get some recommendations?

Thanks!!!!
