Hi I currently have 1 Hyla leucophyllata (a clown tree frog) it's partner died a while back..hardy frogs that I have come to love. I dust with vitamin/calcium supplement at least once a week sometimes more. And I do use a waterfall/natural terrarium and he loves it. Where are you getting these frogs I haven't been able to find them anywhere lately. Please respond as I am trying to get a breeding colony going.

Hi there, thanks for your info....... I am in oh and we have a mom and pop pet store, that employs someone who also works for a retile distributor and I go through him.......... He has taught me so much in the last 2 years since I have met him....
It will be at least a month or more before we think about trying again..... We lost the 2 we ordered we think do to the stress of being shipped and dealing with below zero temps here right now.........
I can't wait, it is making me nuts..... I am hopeing also to have a breeding pair. I know the manager of our local cow town pet store, and they are working with me to see if we can breed them.. (YEA)

Next time I am in there I'll get the info for you.....They have had some delays when they are ordering right now with weather...
I hope it will be no longer then 6 weeks or so

Are you certain that the Clown treefrogs are CB? I only know of 2 people that have had any success breeding these, and neither have been on a very large scale. How much are they selling them for?

thanks,

Brian

I am not totally sure yet, we are shooting to get me in a breeding pair, so they will have to be adults, and a good chance I'd say of being WC......
I have gotten almost all of my 11 zoo animals, as my kids call them through him, and all have been healthy and wonderful(knock on wood)
So as I get more info, I will pass on what I can

Hmm........ I wouldn't get too set on the breeding part. The females are very difficult to find, as they are likely collected/found by their call. Females are a rare find. Even then, they are very hard to breed. Even the mascarinos have only had limited success with them. I would suggest hyla ebbraccata if you can find them. They look very similar, are a little smaller (can eat ff's) and are much easier to breed. I think Pat Nabors sells CB juveniles, and also some guy that occasionally posts on the kingsnake classifieds.
