Dumb Question

sk8erdude360 Jan 19, 2004 10:45 AM

This will probably sound stupid to someong who knows, but can I house a frilled with another type of lizard? I want to get a big enclosure worthy of two frilled, but I want to put something else in to give it variety. Any suggestions?

It is always recommended not to house separate species in the same enclosure. Reasons are numerous but the common ones are, difference in husbandry (temperatures, humidity, food etc), transference of parasites/diseases between the two species, and stress.

you could but only if you had an enourmous enclosure. enough to meet all husbandry requirements for each lizard you have in there. also would need to keep it to moderately tempered reptiles. ( no tegus or small geckos that can be eatin) still recommended to NOT put them together.

I throw in some anoles every now and then. They genearly last a week, but the lizards love them!
