Gorgeous Baby Highland Chamaeleo Hoehnelli

rkreptiles Jan 19, 2004 11:11 AM

Well we got in our shipment last week from Uganda with Highland Locale C.T.Hoehnelli and C.Ellioti in it. We got in a few Gravid females of both species and this morning one of the Hoehnelli gave birth. We have 7 gorggeous Big baby Hoehnelli running around in their enclosure now. We had 2 that were still born but I picked them up and re-dropped them in hopes of stimulating them to break free of their embryonic sacks but I honjeslty don't think those 2 will make it. I just thought I would share the news with everyone.

I love how baby chams look! They are like two big googly eyes glued to a tadpole.
I couldn't imagine all of them at home!! I'd never go to work!
"Yeah... um i need a leave of absence. No no i'm fine.. just a little distracted"
Lol
But, I guess if your work is breeding lizards, you wouldn't have to worry about that, would you!

That is one of the reason I love my job so much. I get to play with animals every day all day I just wish I could pay myself $100k per year to do it
