Is 16.5 inches okay for a 5 month old?

khandof Jan 19, 2004 11:35 AM

I've been looking at growth charts and I've noticed that my beardie is slightly bigger that other dragon's her age. My dragon is 5 12 months old and is 16.5 inches from nose to tail. According to the growth chart's she should be around 14 inches. Her mother is 20 inches and her father is 21 inches. Is that too big? Am I supplementing much calcium and multi-vitamins. Just a little curious.

Thanks,

khandof

Being big isn't bad, some will grow to 19 inches in 4 months and slow down growth. He will probably be a big at 19-22 inches and stop or he could stop at 17inches. In other words nothing is wrong, it would worry me if he was 7 inches.
