leos that won't breed

k-townleos Jan 19, 2004 11:47 AM

This is my first time breeding leos. I have a healthy male and female. They are both well fed and active. I reduced their light exposure down for about the last month and put the male in the females tank 1 week ago. Our female is showing now signs of being gravid. In fact she puts on this "I'm a bigger gecko than I am act" and intimidates the male who is atleast 30% bigger than her. I have reduced their light even more now and am going to try again. Anyone have any other ideas for me? This is our females first breeding season although our male bred last year with his previous owner.
