I must be gecko-crazy...I dreamed about finding eggs last night

StarGecko Jan 19, 2004 12:15 PM

You know your gecko obsession is getting out of control when...

you dream about finding gecko eggs.

So- in waking life- I just put a pair and a group of leos together for breeding last week.

Last night, I have a strange dream.

I dream I find a bunch of eggs. I am surprised because it is too soon. Some are good and I have to get the deli cups and incubator all ready. A couple I found to late and are dried up. And others I find not in the layboxes, but outside the enclosure, hidden in my gecko room like easter eggs- still nice and plump and white. What does it mean?

your not alone Sarah. I have dreamt about geckos before, work, and not to mention my fave tv show. When you start dreaming about your tv show, thats pretty bad.

Maybe this is a question to ask Dr. Phil what it all means? ha ha!

I think its quite common......dreaming about stuff like that. I dream about work ALL the time and well my fav. TV show....sometimes. Now as for geckos.....i have NIGHTMARES. I dream that they have all escaped or that i have more of them that i forgot about and that they are in total disgusting tanks....its horrible!!!!! I think it stems down from my insecurities, which comes from putting to much on my table and getting in over my head. The escaped gecko dreams could be a result of the many times i assisted one of my ex's search for his anole which always got out of the tank and found its way into his closet where we would find it hanging on a shirt LOL.

When Jurasic park came out i had repeated dreams about being stepped on by a T-Rex....luckily there hasn't been any bad dreams of huge man eating geckos LOL

I have had dreams before about finding gecko eggs. They are accompanied by a good feeling. I never dream about losing geckos in my house, maybe becuase it has already happened a few times and I have always found them in good condition.

Me, too. I always have dreams about my geckos... unfortunately the majority are also nightmares. The good ones are usually about being in a Leopard Gecko 'Disneyland' where they are everywhere and soooo beautiful and sweet, and I just can't seem to choose which one I want! The nightmares are horrible disasters involving my own beloved geckos... wierd stuff with a lot of anxiety. Those are usually a hint that I am overwhelmed and need a break - you know, in the peak of offspring season and I have way too many and the incubators and racks are full!

Ha

I dont dream of geckos but I always dream about being one of thouse lil old wise men sitting in a chair with a jug of Ice tea fishing with a lil bobber and worm and getting nibbles.

Unfortuanately I help out on a boat doing off shore fishing and am mostely pullin in 90-230 lb fish that often take over an hour and a half to get in. (sharks tuna cobia) etc. Its fun but tiering.

One day though

I understand it seems quite fun and its is for all of a week then waking up at 4 to go in to sometimes 6-8ft seas isnt adzactally what you would consider fun fishing correct me if im wrong but head boats can leagally go off our coast in sees of excess of 5ft with out a waver being signed well when its some ones living you go out on a boat half the size of a head boat and crank in fish all day then go to dock and clean them.

Its tiring I would only fish twice a week if I had a choice. How ever at 75$ a day pay to go fishin im well on the way to saving up for my first car haha

P.S im from the outer banks of nc
