We're getting better...

This is Blue (big male) and Gold Nugget Boo Boo. They are two igs that I got in a little over a week ago that are rescues. There were numerous things wrong with the both of them. Both had burns, both were a little underweight (especially Nugget). Nugget had to have stitches in her tail because the three iguanas that I got in were brought in the same container and the smaller male really ripped her up. He made a two inch gash right at the base of her tail. So in addition to moving her home, she had to endure a vet visit, anesthesia, stitches, and cleaning. Poor girl. In addition to her wound, she seems to have the very start of metabolic bone disease. Her jaw is just starting to swell. With the proper vitamin supplementation she should be fine. It was caught early enough. As for Blue, well other than his burns he seems to be a pretty healthy brute. He is fattening up really well.
