I have been posting in a variety of forums here looking for possible pets, and the general amphibian forum isn't getting answered. And this place seems pretty active...

I guess I am looking for an aquatic frog or semi aquatic that can be kept in a pretty small tank (20 or less) I wanted a turtle but they require some pretty big areas in the long run

A 20 gallon tank is perfect for one african clawed frog. A little more room would be appreciated, but if you have a male a 20 gallon will work fine. You might be able to put 2 african dwarf frogs in a 20 gallon as well, but in my experience the african clawed frogs are both easier to obtain and hardier. Andy

Are you sure you want to go with aquatic? This is just me, but in my book, water = bigger hassel and more work. I would suggest a tomato frog, chubby frog, pacman frog, dwarf pyxie. yes yes they are all FAT BIG FROGGIES. But I know for certain that the Pacmen and Dwarf Pyxies are easy to care for. And im almost postaive so are the other ones i mentioned.
