Post Shed

skits Jan 19, 2004 02:34 PM

My leo just shed while i was out this weekend. There appears to be a little bit of skin on its toe. I tried to get it off, but no success, that and the fact it hissed at me and tried to bite. So i'll leave it be for now, don't wanna stress it out to much. I misted its hide box so maybe that will help in the process, any other suggestions? I call my leo it, cause i have no clue of sex yet. Thanks for the help

Soak your gecko im warm water in the bath or sink for awhile only like 1/2inch deep and after about 30 minutes pull the lil guy out and take a q tip and wipe the skin off a dab of shed oil from the petstore dosent hurt. Get it off asap though leos have been known to bite there toes off when the skin cuts off curculation to the toe.

Thanks for the advice i did get that piece of skin off. However i noticed on its left front hand, it looks like its digits are smaller than the right. I just got this lil guy last week at a pet shop, i guess i failed to notice it. Maybe in the past no one checked the lil guy for skin that didn't shed. ? Thanks again for the tip with a capital Q (qtip)
