Hi, I have a watersnake from Iowa (looks like the one on this forums page), I think its a Northern. Anyway he got loose a few days ago and I have not been able to find him! Does anyone have any tips for catching him again?

Edit- It looks like the one in the guy's hand.
When my calligaster was out for a few nights I would wake up late at night and walk around the house with a flash light in hopes that I would see him out. After trying this for a few nights I found him sitting in the middle of my room around 1:30am on of those nights. I also layed about empty wrapping paper tubes next to corners and walls and in dark places. You may want to leave a small dish of water out somewhere if you already haven't. These things usually work for me. I one time left glue traps laying about my room whem my Miss Ringneck escaped, I found him but when taking him off I removed a few scales, I don't do that anymore. Anyway good luck.......Scott

I caught him, thanks, I used a glue trap and then used vegetable oil to remove him easily.
