I bought this turtle back in Dec. and was told it was an Asian BOx Turtle, I have had a lot of trouble with it since I got it I think she is the cutest thing and don't want to lose her. Just about everything the "Pet Store" (if that is what you want to call it) had told me, I was slowy finding out was WRONG!!!!!She has a box turtle shaped shell that is kind of a muddy brown color, her head is the the same color with orangish-yellow markings with some white, her belly is a yellowish-green and she has a yellowish orange/red color on like the scales. she is verry cute. I was told she only ate veggies, but when i got her home she refused to eat ANYTHING I gave her. I finly took her to the vets and they told me to try worms and other live things, she loves them and that's the only thing i can get her to eat unless I kind of bread them with a land turtle diet pelet that i have crushed up. if you would like to see a photo let me know. PLEASE HELP ANY AND ALL HELP WILL BE VERRY VERRY HELPFUL!!!!!!!!

sounds like a three toed box tut., i gots one of em. they will also chow strawberrys, peaches, and apple slices. (or at least by lil buddy does) and he loves night-crawlers!!! It needs real sunlight, or one of those artificial bulbs, and at least a forty gallon turtle tank. u could also use a wading pool, or keep it outside if u live sum place sunny and warm such as over in Southern California. Myn hybernayes and comes back out when it warms up. eats slugs too, and nastursium. Good luck
