Help crested is hurling!

Nightshade Jan 19, 2004 06:44 PM

I have a crested that is approximately 1 year old and is VERY small. I bought her with her sibling but her sibling died about a month after purchase and she has never had any problems but I began notice about 6 mos ago that she wasn't eating well. I began feeding her from a dropper to make sure she was eating and tonight while feeding, she puked it all back up on me. I mix CGD with baby food and supplement with dusted crickets once a week.
After she was sick, she walked around gaping at me and even now, back in her cage, she is staring up at the top of the cage (reminds me of stargazers disorder in snakes).

What can I do? I certainly don't want the rest of my babies to get infected. I have her quarantined but want to ensure I can save her.

If she has not been eating for that long it sounds like there is something seriously wrong with her. The main thing you have to watch for with them is to not overheat them they like room temperature best. About 70 - 78
I would take her to a vet.
I have never seen stargazers in cresteds but I know beardies can get it.
