Hey how does everyone keep their wax worms alive?? Fridge?? And how long do these guys live?

I buy mine at the local pet store and they last about 10 days not refrigerated. They will last longer in the fridge but my fridge is too cold and they turn black and die. If you leave them room temp in a semi dark area they will pupate and turn into moths which the lizards love! Fun to watch too.
