Humidity for tokay

antonm Jan 19, 2004 07:12 PM

I just redid my tokay's tank and plan to run the humidifier I have quite often so the plants can thrive and make a natural terrarium. Of course I want this done without interfering with the tokay's optimum keeping requirements. With the humidifier on for about 1/2 hour, the humidity rises to roughly 80%. Is this ok for the tokay or should I cut back on it? The 80% ofcourse is not constant, but rather temporary and probably drops to about 60-70 further into the day. I figured if I run it early morning and late at night it would be optimum for a natural weather change.
