Because the forums are for information and you are not really supposed to sell on them.
I have sold lots of animals on the classifieds.
If you are new to the classifieds sometimes people are wary of buying from you.
Once you can get a recommendation from someone who has bought from you or a testimonial from a previous customer you can provide references.
Photos of your animal for sale help.
People also like to see photos of the parents.
What I did to break in is sell a couple of animals at very low prices at first to entice some first customers so I could get a good refferal and then I provided those customers with super healthy top notch animals and excellent service and I have sold lots on the kingsnake classifieds since then. I can't give you an answer as to how the sales are but I can let you know that I am in the market for a panther chameleon. I have a Tamatave male about 18 months old now and another that is a Nosey Be though I haven't been able to sex it yet. I would really like to get a female preferrably Tamatave but any locale will do as I am very interested in starting to breed these beautiful reptiles. Please let me know what you have available and what type of pricing you are charging for shipment to Michigan. I've attached a pic of "Dude" the 18 month I really want to start breeding with.
