FL herp laws

ffemt413 Jan 19, 2004 08:29 PM

I currently live in oklahoma, which does not require any permits for my herps. I am seriously looking into moving to the Tampa bay area and would like to know the laws, restrictions, permits required for this area. Thanks in advance for any help.

There is no license required to keep non venomous snakes as pets. (Venomous require a Florida FWC VR permit). If you are planning on selling any offspring now or down the road you will need to obtain the Florida FWC License to exhibit/sell reptiles in order to do so.
