It would take quite some time to get a colony that big. If you start out with 20-30 adults they will produce a 100-300 babies a month. It will take some time for the babies to grow and you will be feeding them off. If you get more lizards then you raise up some more adult breeders, otherwise you can just sell your extras. I use 10-15 gallon rubbermaid containers and keep then over the lights in my lizard cages. I buy the red bran from the local feed store. I actually put 2/3 red bran and 1/3 moss seperated by a 2x4 board. Then I cover most of it with egg crates. This way I can spray the moss every other day and the females like to lay in it.
