question on prices on glass?

I am building a 4'x2'x18" cage. I was wondering how much you think the front glass sliding doors will be? Has anybody built this size that has some expierence?

I just built 2 cages about that size and spent around 40.00 for 4 pieces of glass.

what is the thickness of it? Did you get the edges roughed up so it won't be sharp in the sliders?
