really strange question

sbshortie Jan 20, 2004 02:24 AM

Okay so the way my cage is set up...I have 2 kinda brick things with a heavy slab of flat rock on top of them for basking. The bricks sit on paper towel. Recently Pebbles has started to lean up against the rock so that she is kinda standing and has 2 legs on the ground at all times.....any ideas why she has stopped sleeping laying down?

Have no idea really...must be a comfortable rock.

my bearded dragon did that on the side of his tank when he was a baby. He doesn't any more but I wondered if maybe he wasn't warm enough? Just a thought!

LOL, seriously ( are there any crickets in her house that are biting her while laying down to sleep?) Sometimes they move, if annoyed by a few hideout BUGS !! Just wondering

What would a cricket bite look like? I always stop feeding them when they stop eating but sometimes there is that one cricket left over.

anything, I just know if I have any hideouts, I watch the lizards move at night to get away, its annoying,
So if I'm in the rep room at night looking at the frogs or geckos, and happen to see crickets bothing the collareds, I try and grab them.

If I can't catch the little bugger, what I do is drop a small piece of carrot, lettice whatever in there, then they go for that and not the lizard. And I remove it in the morning !

after i built my new cage, Sam slept in the middle of the wall in a climbing stance lol it was really wierd. I gently took her down and put her in her usual spot, she did it the next night also, i repeated the process, but havn't had a prob since. It is wierd looking lol.

sounds kinda what my beardie does, hes so lazy that whereever he is when the lights go out, thats where he sleeps, like the other night he was starting to climb up his fake plant when i turned the lights out, his front legs were on it but his back legs were still on the ground, he was still in the exact position when i woke up hehe.
