What substrate are you using? If it is coco, peat, or a mixture, then the water is turning brown from the soil. The soil will continue to leach tannins and it will be very hard for plants to keep it clear. I have a friend that has used the 100% clay kitty litter as a substrate and the water was very clean after first few water changes. So I guess what I am saying is your problem in in the substrate.

Sorry wasn't of much help,
Ben

As stated earlier, your water is touching your substrate and leeching tannins(color) into the water. If you put a layer between the substrate and the water, like pea gravel, you will eliminate the problem. I don't know if this is true of coco substrate, but some tannins are good.

Hi and tanks to replie so fast,,,

I use some T-rex or zoo-med, but I divise the egg crates with geo-textile ( I don't know how to say that in english)... We use that to divise good soil and bad soil, this let go water but not soil and ragweed... Theorical....
