>>what is the cure for egg bound?

No "cure", what you can try is a warm bath several times a day. Gently massage her belly. Give her a suitable place to try to lay the eggs on her own.

Are you sure she is egg bound?

Factors that lead to egg binding include weakness from illness, dietary factors, calcium deficiency, low weight, obesity, and improper egg-laying site. You should diagnose the underlying cause and try to correct it. A veterinarian may also administer something to induce egg-laying. In some cases a veterinarian will perform surgery to remove the eggs and save the animals life.

Well, can you feel any more eggs inside her? I think you should be able to feel them if there are more in there. If she's eggbound, you need to get her to a vet, it's as simple as that. If there are no reptile vets in your area, find another vet who can communicate with a reptile vet on the phone, and get told what to do, or find a reptile vet outside your area, but within a distance that makes it possible to take the beardie with you for a drive. As a responsible pet owner you should always have a "vet emergency plan", in case you animal gets sick and needs medical attention.

Are you sure there are no reptile vet in your country??? May I ask which country you live in? Perhaps you could find some reptile experts working in a zoo or something? Or someone reading this post will live in your country and know someone? You should always have the opportunity to get your beardie to a vet, as there are certain medical problems you can not solve yourself. Even in Norway, where I come from, we have vets who are experienced with reptiles. And reptiles are actually illegal to keep here, believe it or not! So I'm having a hard time believing there are no reptile vets or experts in your country, especially if keeping lizards or snakes isn't illegal.

Having said that, if your beardie is behaving normal, eating and pooping (is she pooping, by the way?), and you can't feel any eggs in her stommach, perhaps she's not eggbound? The 3 eggs she laid, were they infertile, or did she actually have contact with a male?

well i live in the philippines, i really had a hard time finding a reptile vet here. i think none exist here. i already had asked around but no clue where to find one here.

the female had contact with the male i saw them mating few weeks ago, and i think the 3 eggs are fertile. is it possible that she just lay 3 eggs? this is the 3rd time she lay eggs. the 1st and 2nd cluch was about 15-20 eggs. i didnt feel any eggs in her stomach now.

You can also go to a vet taht does not see reptiles and have an xray done to see if there are any eggs left. Most small animal and large animal vets carry oxytocin (the drug they administer to stimulate labor). This is a common treatment for truly eggbound reptiles. I would ask aroung and see if any of your local ets are interested in learning more about reptiles. There is a wealth of information on vin.com (Veterinary Information Network) you have to be a vet to join, but they can ask experts questions about cases. It would be worth a try because eventually you will need a vet in your corner. Just my two cents.

Hmm...don't they have a zoo somewhere near you? If they do, they probably have some kind of reptiles there (snakes, alligators, tortoises, lizards...)? And if they do, they will also have someone who knows reptiles, and can help you! This is definitly worth a try.

Also, what about the person you bought the dragon from? Doesn't he/she know a vet?

You really need to get in contact with some kind of vet who could help you. Even if you don't need it in this particular case, and even though beardies are usually very tough animals, you might suddenly find yourself in a situation where an emergency vet visit is the only solution. The first thing I did before I bought my beardie was to make sure that I had an experienced vet in my area, and got his name and number. That's probably the best general advice I could give to any new pet owner, but I know it doesn't help you right now.
