I put the middle of a paper towel roll (cardboard part), covered on one end inside the crix tank. I lean it up against one corner, along the edge of the tank where the crix run. The crix crawl up in to the roll.
Place open end of tube in plastic bag or container and shake them out, dust and deliver...

These work great! For some reason I always had better luck with these then the paper towel roll thing.

I started out with those, when I had one dragon. I just copied the the idea..now my crix are in a 29 G tank (7 dragons). I keep 3 tubes in the tank.

well the paper towel thing works great but i just take the egg carton things that they live in shake them and let a few pile up in the corner....then i take a sandwhich bag and scoop a few of them up....they get dusted on the way to the beardie cage....and thats it

A lot of people do it that way too. But for me, picking up the egg carton thing would mean taking the risk that one could hop on me.
The last time that happened, I flew back, screamed, knocked a picture off the wall and broke it.
Just a tad bit of a "cricket fear"..lol

Christy, you really should switch to silkworms, or start using gloves.

You can get them at like PetsMart places.... there is a bottom that the powder goes in, it fits onto the are the crickets go in and you can shake the powder into that part then shake it out through the sifting holes. Open the lid take off the bottom and dump the crickets in. I think they are around 8 bucks. I have two, one for calcium and one for vitamins.

I just shake a piece of egg carton into a sandwich bag. For dusting days, I put the suppliments into the sandwich bag first, shake in some crickets, close the top of the bag, leaving lots of air in, and shake. Then dump the crickets into the dragon's cage.
