Children's or Spotted?

gretzkyrh4 Jan 20, 2004 10:04 AM

The pic below is of the male from a pair of snakes, I purchased this past summer. They were sold to me as spotteds, but the pattern seems a little to faded. So let me know what you think.

Thanks,
Chris

I would say Children's. Definitely does not look like a spotted.

Looks like a Children's to me too but it would help if you have a clear shot of the top of their head scalation.

Failure is not an option. It comes bundled with the software.

Looks like a Children's to me. However, here is a link to a site that will give you information on scalation so you can confirm what you have.

Good luck!

I love this site, BUT. I have a pair of what was sold to me as Children's. And they were sold to the guy I got them from as Children's 5 yrs before. The head scalation on the female matches a Spotted...kinda sorta. And the male is a mix at best as he only has the larger scales and none of the smaller, not even the central smaller that she has a tiny one of. I suspect integrades. They are on the small side....gotta go check but think in the 2 ft range. And they are lighter than the spotteds I have seen. Go figure.
I am gonna post picts and would love input.

I think that the integrades between Childrens & Spotteds is rampant. I've run into the same thing on numerous occasions.

Well, I am certainly not disappointed with my pair. I guess when I sell babies I will simply state integrades and show the parents. I think that is the most honest thing to do. These two are way smaller than any Spotteds I had seen and lighter. So, what the heck.
