. I have good litters and bad litters. The good litters usually have 12 to 18 live babies. The bad litters usually have some combination of live babies and slugs and the total of live babies and slugs in these litters is also usually between 12 and 18. I have had litters as small as two and as large as 28. There are reliable reports of litters around 35.
