feeding help needed for cali king

shiehdy Jan 20, 2004 11:45 AM

My cali king appetite has dropped off in the last few weeks, from 1 mouse every 5-7 days to 1 mouse every 2-3 weeks. Could it be due to the colder weather, even though her environment is kept relatively constant? I don't think it's a blockage since she is still eats, just not as often. Any suggestions on what it is or what I can do would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I honestly wouldn't worry, as long as the snake isn't losing weight. Winter does that to a lot of people, they react to the daylight changing and very subtle temperature changes.

"The serpent crams itself with animal life that is often warm and vibrant, to prolong an existence in which we detect no joy and no emotion. It reveals the depth to which evolution can sink when it takes the downward path and strips animals to the irreducible minimum able to perpetuate a predatory life in its naked horror."
