Does anyone just use an undertank heater? i was looking at cages that were retty affordable but they didnt allow for a basking light just a flourescent fixture. so i was wonderign if any of you just use an under tank heater? i was just curious. i have a cage with a UV light and basking. i just didnt find it practical but i was wondering if any of you do this?
Thanks

I am not aware of an undertank heater that is nearly hot enough for our little sun-worshipping uros. Just my opinion.

under tank heaters are only good as supplimental heat if you need it, in my opinion you need to have a basking light and a uvb heat light to make the uro thrive, and if you use the under tank heater make sure you use at least 2 to 3 inches of substrate so you dont cause any burns to your uro's underside, to my knowledge lizards cant really detect heat underneath that well.
