Does anyone know anything about the "Neon" Cape Gophers

mturner01 Jan 20, 2004 07:45 PM

I had a pair a few years ago produced by Jim Kane. They were unreal! I made the mistake of letting them go and have never seen this strain again. I really want some more!

If your looking for the "Kane Strain" cape gopher, John Ginter and David Tracer are two breeders that come to mind. I wouldn't hesitate to get one from either of them. I'm sure there are more and I don't mean to leave them out, I just know these two. Shame on you for letting the ones you had go. LOL.

I wish I could have picked up a pair of the 03 babies you had last season. I still hope to be on the list for a '04 pair this season. Gregg Feaster picked up a pair of those 03 babies you had this past season that he has rubbed in me a few times. LOL. Those baby capes in the pic are great looking already.

BTW - the Madagascar Geckos my wife got from you are doing great. They produced six babies for her so far. They are cooling right now.

Yes we have had them for a number of years, currently we have 2.2 adults. One pair from the kane strain and another pair form a friend in California that collectted them as hatchlings himself a number of years ago. They are really old snakes he has had them 16 and 17 years respectively before I got them. This is pic of the wild caught male.

Nice. Thanks John. I haven't seen a w/c cape before. I hadn't seen the dorsal color that far down the body before.

I was pulling for Indy, just cuase I like Manning and his approach to the game. But am looking forward to running up to Houston for the game in few days. Besides for the traffic it should be fun around here for the next week.
