I am just really worried becaus ei know i need the cage soon, and does the panel produce heat downward which will give me a basking site and evenly rise the temperature of the cage and also can it jut be lowered with a thermostat at night to have night time drop>?

While I appreciate your having confidence in my advice, it seems like the young people of today want the answers immediately rather than researching what the answers could be....this is not meant to be disrespectful. I cannot answer your question because I don't sell this product; I use it but it is always according to the manufacturers recommendations. I know what works well in my situation but my recommendations would pale to what you can get from the maker himself. So, call Bob Pound; believe me, he will take all of the time you need to answer EVERY question you can possibly come up with regarding heat panels.
