I have an eastern mud turtle that was donated by an anonymous party and I use him for educational purposes. I have had him for about 3 months and he has been doing quite well. I recently moved to a new home and the turtle ate for the first few days but then stopped eating about 4 days ago. He will take a bite of food every now and then but his tank is virtualy poop-free which is not normal at all. I am concerned that he has an internal parasite or is sick in some other way. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Hi
I noticed you did n't get any replies here. perhaps you got some privately. I didn't say anythinhg as a few days off food is not always a sign of illness. Has the animal recovered or regained its appetite? Is it showing any new symptoms now?
Sometimes a little more variety in the diet will entice a bored turtle. try hard boiled egg white or live earth worms or live crickets or some sinking wafrer made for catfish and bottom feeding fish to eat.
