columbus show, this a good time of year?

scapelli Jan 21, 2004 04:07 AM

My gf is driving me nuts, we live about 3 and a half hours from columbus and she keeps bugging me about the show next weekend. She was going to order some snakes today from a breeder, but he didn't get back to us by email or phone. So now its either pick another online source, or go to the show. Getween gas and admission (and parking I imagine) its probably going to cost as much to make the trip as it would to have snakes shipped. My way of thinking is this, if something is hard to find online, its going to be equally hard if not harder to find at the show. Am I right in thinking this?
things she's looking for bloodred corn
leucistic texas or black rat
taiwan beauty
russian rat

I would consider you lucky to have a woman that likes snakes.

Overall, the reptile show is a better option. You get to look and the snake prior to purchase.

She will probably fine most of the species mentioned at the show.

Show her how much you care and take her to the show.

It is a small thing to do. Moreover, who knows you may get lucky

You're nearly guaranteed to find leucy rats and Taiwans at the show. I'm actually amazed at how cheap Taiwans are now. Russians show up pretty often too. Admission 3$, free parking.

"The serpent crams itself with animal life that is often warm and vibrant, to prolong an existence in which we detect no joy and no emotion. It reveals the depth to which evolution can sink when it takes the downward path and strips animals to the irreducible minimum able to perpetuate a predatory life in its naked horror."

It's a good show. A breeder/dealer friend of mine will be there, and he will probably have some leucistic texas rats.
I can email him and make sure, if you like, or even give you his email. Parking is free, and it's only a few bucks to get in.
Hope you enjoy it if you come. Duffy
