Giving corns a swim!

Harker Jan 21, 2004 09:24 AM

Do corns take kindly to the odd bath/swim?

Mine hate it.All my snakes do.When i had burmese, anacondas and retics they grooved on a good swim in a kiddy pool.My corns just flip out and poop all over the place. If my leapord tortiose even see's the bathtub he will musk and crap all over me,then he will spite poop all over his clean enclosure.Every once in a blue moon i will take a misting bottle and fill it full of warm water and mist them down and let them dry themselves on me.It keeps me from cleaning up poop and it stresses them less.Heck who knows yours might like a good swim....Paul.

Like Paul (Gargoyle) said, all my corns hate to be given a bath, but I will put them in very shallow (1/2" deep) water every once in a while for 10-15 minutes if they have a bad shed that needs to come off or if they haven't gone to the bathroom in a long time.

Just make sure the water is room temp. It shouldn't feel warm or cool.
