some guy dies and his niles feed on him. Kind of funny how close the stories sound. But this one was supposedly here in FL..

With that being said are these for real?????

ironic than funny or gory.See as there captor he provide them with the essentials to live,ie:water, heat and food, the ironic part is he provided his own flesh as his final parting meal to them.that and the fact the niles were doing what comes naturally and consuming a carcassJust my humble opinion.

because i asked the same thing a couple of days ago on this forum,im still unsure to this day if shes a good size for her age (18 months-34inches).she has spurted 10 inches in 6 months so im gonna take it thats a not too bad growth rateWhat i do keep hearing is that monitors can reach adult lenght in less than a year which wouldve been kool but i f*cked up when i first got and fed her as i did with my snakes (2-4 mice a week)also her basking spot was only at 95 or so degrees. If i have stunted her potential i dont think its by much but then again thinking never really got me very far with her, thanks for asking anyway.
ps heres a pic of her last august

And they dont stunt. I got my male BT/WT cross at over 2 years old and 2ft inches long and 2 lbs 2 ounces. In about a years time hes 4ft and over 8 lbs, and still growing. He was thought by Rob Faust to be a female and became sexually mature after I got him (ei the tail base bulged, head changed a little bit etc).

its good to know that she wont be stunted,i have 1 more Q though:Her tailbase is fairly thick and it has 2 "dots"either side of the went, does this constitute a female?
well thanks again

I could email it to ya, but email me first so I can send the file, when I find it. The males do have very thick tail bases starting directly behind the hipbone, noticeably so.
