Hello all:

I have read in several sources (on the internet and in books) that Leo's can be fed pinky mice (as an occasional treat) Anybody ever feed their leo's pinky mice. To me they look like they may be too big for them. I have 2 adults and still I am wondering if it really is safe. Would they have trouble swallowing them. I dont know what do you all think? Thanks in advance for all the great advice.

Baby pinkys can range in sizes..A few day old pinky is not any bigger then a large cricket and are ate with no truble at all by Adult Leopard geckos...i like to feed my females one every month or so to help fatten up their tails. Go with live pinkys...f/t pinks are passed up by many leopard geckos.

Pinkies can be fed to adults, and are especially helpful for breeding females (calcium in the little mousey bones). Dip the rumps in calcium and let your leo try it. Some leos won't eat them, others love them. I make sure to always get pinks with no fuzz, if they have fuzz that can be too big.

Mine eat pinkies on occasion. The second batch i brought home was too big, but a week ago, I brought home pinkies that were about 4 hours old. Delores ate TWO.
